Palangka Raya- Cultural heritage needs to be protected from damage, destruction, or obliteration. Therefore, the city government of Palangka Raya through tourism and culture offices has an inventory of some cultural heritage that exists throughout the city.

According to the offices of culture and tourism, there are 6 registered cultural heritage in the city of Palangkaraya, while the seventh cultural heritage , the Pesanggrahan isen Mulang, is still awaiting a decision by the ancient heritage conservation centers BP3 Borneo.

Ancient heritage conservation centers will bring in a team of experts to evaluate the cultural heritage. Then, the results of these evaluations will be used to determine whether the site is worthy to be of cultural heritage.

In the meantime, there are 6 Palangka Raya cultural heritage that has been recognized, ie Sandung Bawi Kuwu in district Rakumpit, Sandung Ngabeh Sukah in Murdjani street, Soekarno monument in the S Parman street, Tjilik Riwut’s house on Sudirman street, Rumah Betang (traditional house) in Sei Gohong village, and Rumah Betang in Mangku Baru village.

Is our common task, not only the department of tourism and culture and local governments to maintain and preserve the cultural heritage of Central Kalimantan. In addition to art, cultural heritage is a potential culture that needs to be preserved and protected .
